Drill battery adapters

I have a Milwaukee 0627-20 hammer drill, and I have seen you can adapt to the M18 battery. I dont have M18 battery. I have too many Ridgid 18V batteries. Anyone seen a adapter from the 48-11-2230 Milwaukee battery to the Ridgid 18V?

I hate to buy new Nicad batteries, or start buying Milwaukee.

Other option is to sell the Milwaukee and get a Ridgid hammer drill.

I'm not sure if they offer anything to adapt between battery chemistries, but I did pick up a Ridgid to Makita adapter from these guys. https://powertoolsadapters.ca/ At work we mostly run Makita tools but we picked up a Ridgid framing nailer. Rather than add to the single battery that came with the nailer, I bought an adapter to let us use our Makita batteries in the Ridgid. In the end we didn't really need it, but it was nice to have just in case. Unfortunately that also means I can't comment on how well the adapter holds up, but it seems well made.

Thanks, checked it out. I think my drill is too old to adapt, I can do mine to M18, but not Ridgid to mine.

I think I will just get a Rigid hammer drill when they go on sale.

That would be the easiest thing to do. It ***** but the batteries are proprietary so you basically have to stay with one brand. That being said, Ridgid does have lifetime service so you get replacement batteries for free and the tools are decent. We don't have a Ridgid repair place anymore so here one just goes back to HD, they take the old whatever and hand you a new one. Win!

Yup. My goto brand is Rigid for the livetime service.

Its just that I have a quality Milwaukee drill (low use) that more than likely end up useless.

Sell the tool and charger only. Lots of buyers already have batteries and are just waiting for a deal. Hold out for a good price.

On the selling though, YMMV. I hate selling anymore. Someday I'll just have an auction and let the company handle it.


Edit: it's not that hard to rebuild a battery. Time consuming, that's it.
