Its a shame the shipping isn't free as it's cheaper for me to buy the DD350X on Amazon. Perhaps it will benefit those after the more advanced Drill doctor models though. Thanks for posting this up.

Thanks to this I finally pulled the trigger. Thanks OP!

Edit: Paid $106 shipped for the 750x. Chose USPS because it was the cheapest and I just got a shipping notification from UPS. Cheaper than anywhere else.

Yep the shipping kind of killed it as a good deal. For the 750x with two addition wheels it was still cheaper then amazon. Without the extra wheels it was maybe 3 dollars cheaper.

What is the Amazon price you found?
I see $135 on Amazon for the 750X.
With the coupon it's $89.88 + $15.55 shipping (to me) for a total of $105.52
So, $30 cheaper

nothing inherently wrong with the 350x.

it can't do bigger bits, though the 500x can use the bigger chuck and go up to 3/4" the 350x can't. Out of the box the 500x and 350x both go up to 1/2" bits. The part to 'set up' in the side of the 500x & 750x is better than using the grit wheel to align it.

Keep in mind all models only sharpen the tip, not the leading edge. I have a 750x so I didn't have to buy extra parts to make it do everything they can do. I did pick up an extra chuck and some wheels thanks for the promo code. I didn't even know they made a left handed chuck, that'll be interesting.

Any other good recommendations for a more affordable bit sharpener?

I had amazon at $115 with prime and shipping was at $25. Still a deal as extra wheels added nothing to the shipping and were half amazon. I'm happy but not the deal of the century.

Got my 750X today. Sharpened a couple bits to get the hang of it (I definitely recommend watching the video) and so far it works great! Now to get sharpening!
