Drill doctor alignment issue

Using my new DD 500x for the first time, I realized that in the alignment port there is only one mark - 118*

My bits are 135.

There are several markings on either side of the 118 (+ and -)

The manual says that each marking is 10*

The sharpening port only has two presets 118 and 135

So in the alignment port the closest I could get was either 128 or 138

I went with 128* aligned and then the 135 preset.

I did my whole set of expensive black and gold HSS bits this way and I can't test them out at home, the true test will be at work when they HAVE to work!

Will this be a problem?

The relief angle is still angled downward from the leading edge so I'm thinking they should be okay because of that, but then again I don't know too much about drills!

Just make sure you perfect the hold of the chuck every time and the exact same pressure each time. I have used industrial drill grinders and I hate to say this, but, the Drill Doctor really is a toy in comparison. I own a 750X because I wanted to test one out but I have to say that repeatability is not really the DD's strong suite.

Paul.
