Drill holders?

At Lowe's they have these wire rack drill holders for the display models. I'm looking for something similar to hold my three drills. I'd like something that I can mount to the wall if at possible for easy access.

Anyone know where to get something like this?

Thanks guys.

Why not just make a wall holder from lumber with holes big enough to slip the chucks into?

I was hoping I could just buy something similar to what they had at Lowe's and not have to make anything. I figure they can't be too expensive if it is just a wire rack holder.

Not the same thing :(

Yeah, I want the ones that Lowe's has. I'm going to go back and see if I can figure out who makes them. I'll let you guys know if I find anything...

If the baskets are the ones I have seen in stores, they require slatwall. I saw a friend get some cheap baskets, once, and he welded a couple of pegboard hooks to them for his stuff (nothing heavy). As for the drills, you could take a piece of scrapewood, cut two sides for shelf brackets, and either drill the hole for the chuck to go through, or do what Home Depot does. Run a bolt through the board, (with a nut to hold it in place) and tighten the chuck down on that, when the drill isn't in use.

I have a couple of those "Big Lugg" hooks that you hook on your toolbelt. One of them spends life on the side of my toolbox for storing my Makita 18v. Nice and convenient.

Well, went back today and couldn't find any sort of branding anywhere on the holder itself or the slot board it was attached to.

Screw it, I'm gonna make my own.

I remerchandise small hardware stores (True Value) for a living, and I might be able to offer a little help here. Most of the brackets that you are looking for are supplied by the tool manfacturers. If you can find a smaller hdwe store near you (True Value, Ace, Do it Best etc.) you might be able to get them to sell you a few if they have extras - a lot of these stores are going away from that sort of merchandising. The other thing you might try is catching up with one of the power tool reps at a store or at one of their shows. I'm sure that one of them has some laying around that they would gladly give you. If all else fails, email me and I might be able to find a couple for you. Hope this helps.
