Drill press abuse, worst I have seen. Damn near cut off the end of the table.

If they took the time and use it right the "upgrade" probably would not have been needed. Hope it is not a shop where they teach students. Teaching bad practices for sure if that is the case.

"Table has holes drilled into it but still works fine. We upgraded to a newer one which is why this one is for sale."

How the hell do you do that :headscrat ,cutting torch?

In a lot of factories, tools like a drill press are considered disposable items. Sad, but true. Just lots of off table center through drilling without parallels or backing piece.

Wonder how many times that thing has been used. B/C you don't just hit the table and keep going. That is year and years of repeated hit here, hit there and little by little ate away at it. Makes you wonder how wore out the rest of the internals are, or at least the amount of wear and tear.

1,000s of hours?
10,000s of hours?

hhmmm.....

I know any super clean drill can have 1,000s of hours as well, but this one had harder hours.

Got the original Delta motor, but it's three-phase. Run it with a VFD.

Missing the depth stop and who knows what else.

I went to look at a similar basket case. The table clamp casting was broken. Glad I looked closely, because that's a big ticket item to replace.

Three phase in that condition, maybe $100.
