Yes I have searched but, I came up empty. A while back a member on here had some very nice drill press belts. All I can remember is that they were green and looked like they were linked??????? Anybody remember these? Know where I could find them??

They're called 'link belts'. :) Harbor Freight has them, you can also get them from Amazon.com, Rockler or Woodcraft stores. A decent hardware store may carry them, or any woodworking store.

Any auto parts store should have the universal belt you are looking for. You are better off getting the proper belt for the drill.

The linked belts are good for machines that sit unused for long periods, because the v-belts take a set and "thump" or vibrate when used. Link belts don't do that. They run smoother and quieter.

I recall reading that the link belts can wear aluminum (or are they mystery metal) pulleys...

Or get an notched v belt in the correct size. The notched belts flex more easily, and work better on a tight radius than a normal belt.
Usually they're the same part number as a regular belt, but with an X added at the end.
