So its probably posted here somewhere, but I didn't find anything on the "search" I have the Big Milwaukee Magnetic Drill press. I have been looking for a stand up floor drill press that the head section was no good on that I could fabricate a plate to, and utilize the The table and pedestal with my Mag drill, no luck so far, Damn Craigslist. Any body have an outlet for Drill press parts, Or built their own?

Just wait until a good complete drill press comes up, its not like they are rare or anything, a mag drill is most useful as a mag drill, I would like one myself but they cost a lot and no good used ones have found me yet.

Here is what I did. It's not perfect, but it works well for smaller pieces.

Isn't the throat depth puny on a mag drill? Or are you planning to cantilever it somehow?

Yes, throat depth is an issue with most mag drills. You can get around it if you're clever with brackets, but for the most part, they are not great at doing things other than their intended use.

OP, wait until the right deal comes along on a real drill press. Mag drills are super handy to have, so don't off it, but it's hard to use for regular drilling.
