Here is a picture of the Drill press I picked up at the famous auction site. It was labeled as a Dayton drill press and that helped to keep the bids low. When the bidding was all said and done it was $270.00 Good thing the seller didn't know that Wilton made them and dayton just put their label on them. The little unit is 80" tall weighs 700lbs and will support 600lbs on the table! Variable speed down to 80rpm allows it to drill 1.125" in steel

Yeah the Shipping was more than the cost of the auction:-( I sent the seller instruction of how to pack the unit on a shipping pallet. The head slides down after removing the rack that the table raises with. Some blocks of wood under the table and then under the head made for a tight package. The only damage to the machine was a small handle that goes to the wheel that changes the speed, was broken off.

The Drill press is still made or I should say sold by wilton. I talked to them after I purchased it, about a manual for it, they told me that after the current stock is sold, no more will be made in the US. They clame that they are too costly to produce here, and that this model will be phased out and replaced with a cheeper import. BTW if you hurry you too can buy one at the rock bottom price of $7600.00 !
