Please see pics, for sale locally. I can't find anything online for this model. I think it is an import of some type? 16 Speed.

Is this worth my time? Any helpful information is very appreciated!

never heard of the brand. But it's clean enough if you need a drill press might be worth a look if the price is right.

There are a gazillion different brand names and I suspect most of these drill presses came out of the same factory in Taiwan. (later China)

They're not as bad as some people would claim. (Table tilt, table elevation, 16 speed.)

I wouldn't pay more then about 100-150. Check runout and upgrade to a better chuck and they'll perform just fine for most tasks. The versions from Taiwan are better.

Yes, way too high. CL should have plenty of these at better prices. The brand names might be different but they're usually all about the same.

Motors are the weak link in those. They aren't meant to last for the long run. Often baby size, standard 56 frame motor may be too large to fit in the stamped steel cover.

Lots of sharp metal edges, noisy, and spindle taper can be off, causing chuck to spin.

$50 would be too much.

This is craigslist. I find that most things on craigslist are overpriced (in my area anyway).

Seller says it is 3/4 HP. It is the Taiwan variation, 1988 mfg date.

^^^You're confusing these 17" DP's with the little bench top units. This style from Taiwan usually has decent 3/4 HP TEFC motors.

$250 seems a little high. I paid $600 for my clausing and I thought that was a little over priced but it was clean and I needed a new drill press.

that drill press didn't sell for $250 when it was new. I would offer $75, maybe $100 if it all checks out (no loose spindle, good motor, no runout, etc.)
