Hey guys. Picked this guy up for $20 a few weeks ago and just getting around to it.

Most of the writing is faded. Generic Taiwan drill press. 3/4 16spd. No markings anywhere.

Only thing that has scratching my head is idler pulley adjustment. Are these idlers supposed to be self adjusting?? Mine is locked in tight. No lock screws and no levers.

About to pull the cases off and check it out. 0126201710.jpg0126201711_HDR.jpg

Good one for $20. Looks like the same guys built mine. The motor slides back and tightens both belts, that center pulley swings back a bit.

Yeah I just pulled it apart and hit the idler with some silicone. It moves freely now.

This thing is in great shape. I got it from an older gentleman that was selling everything and retiring.

Looks like he hasn't touched it in many years.

Link to another thread on a similar drill press. They were imported under several different names. I have one labeled as Packard Precision. For $20, you couldn't go wrong.
