Drill press pulleys?

These have sat unsold at the swap meet forever. Seller thinks they're drill press pulleys. I have no idea. If anyone sees one they need, let me know. I'm sure they would be cheap.

I would measure the shafts. Would hate to gamble if they are for HVAC, often really wimpy pulleys


I just saw a similar box go for $74 at auction, after sitting at $1 bid until less than 36 hrs to go.

Agreed. ID (keyed or not), # and size of steps will help a long way (even better if there is any #s on them).

I made my own pulleys for an antique CANEDY OTTO drill press. The "cone" pulleys adjust speed and the other pulley drives a flat leather belt.

because the belt length will stay constant. different sized pulleys probably mean other belts needed

I never thought of that reason. I assumed that the belt tension should be loosened
to change pulleys then retightened. I was thinking this retighten action would be OK. I did not want to learn something today, now I did.
