Hi, I am Nickolas Grimes. I am an appliance service Tech. Seems that my old drill press is now past due for service but I am having problems finding a replacement chuck. I have been to mfg web site "jacobs chucks" but they said they don't make it any more. It is chuck # 633c. Does anybody know where I could find said chuck ? I live in so Calif. BTW, its an old craftsman drill press model # 150. thanx

Why in the world would you want to re-place the chuck with the original if it's so hard to find...Go to a site like Enco tools and pick out something in your price range...Jacobs ball-bearing chucks are nice but pricey...But there also designed for heavy-duty, constant use...Good luck with your search...There's a lot to chose from out there...Don't be discouraged...Kevin

What you need to know is that there are a few different 'standard' mounts for attaching a chuck to the quill. Figure out the mount and then buy a chuck with that mount.

Welcome to the group and you will probably have better luck with you question if you post it in the tools section.
