Drill Press recommendations plz

I'm in the market for a drill press for home/hobby/garage general use. I would prefer a floor model.

I am keeping eye out local ads, FB Marketplace, craigslist etc.

Any good new models preferable under $200.

any brands stay away from?

There was a porter cable drill press that had good reviews around here that was sold at lowes. It's a floor model as well. Can't recall the model number tho. Maybe someone else remembers it.

If you can hold out till you can buy an older American built drill press you'll never regret it. The newer chinese junk simply will not compare. I've had 2 chinese junkers, killed them both. I now have an old Powermatic and an old Clausing. Both will easily outlive me s be worth more than I paid for them down the road. You may have to increase your budget, but your lack of frustration afterwards will be worth the extra cost in my opinion.
