I have what I think is a rotary table for a drill press. It has a large threaded bolt on the bottom for the hole in the DP table. No markings other than Made in Japan. It's 7 inches. Very smooth and seems very precise. Can anyone tell me anything about this rotary table? Can't seem to find anything online. Thank you. - Jim

You might search on "X-Y Table", "Cross Slide Table", etc.
Unless there's handle I don't see, the table rotation is not
affected by the lead screws.

its an XY table with a rotatable direct indexing table. can be a useful device for precision drilling. not strong or stable enough for larger work

That's a very nice table.
I'd have given 50 bucks or more for it. It will allow you to drill holes in a circular pattern easily, something fairly hard to do on a drill press with just one set up.
You'll feel some slop in it.
That's what the thumbs crews are for. Set it up and Tighten the thumbs.
No slop. Not much lateral hold, but your slop is gone.

That's a nice table, it's not a Palmgren but it sure looks and probably functions like one.

Thank you. Can anyone recommend where I can get a decent set o hold downs? I see some on Amazon but wondered about better options. Thanks again.

As tombell572 said above, TECO's are one option, but a search of MSC, Grainger's, etc. should also give you other options. One caveat, don't try to do any milling with that set-up as it is designed for drill positioning only plus you would wreck the bearings on your quill.
