My Wilton drill press table is so heavy to raise and lower. So I installed a boat trailer screw jack to aid in lifting that heavy monster. Work smarter not harder.

I also went with the scissor jack but I am going to have to borrow the crank wheel idea. That does look slick!Free scissor jack and a 50 cent crank wheel. Works unbelievably well.
I made a lead-filled PVC counterweight that goes in the column with a pully at the top of the column. Connected to the table by stranded cable. Keeps the underside free for storage which is a HF side cabinet on casters.
I love seeing pictures of MY drill press. That was # 15 a while ago when I was just finishing putting it together. It's change a bit since then.
