How do I know what size chuck key I need for my drill press? Chuck reads:
Jacobs (milford ct?) the other side reads:

6A 33 Taper
capacity 0-1/2

I am going to do some searching but I know y'all are savvy with this stuff so I thought i'd ask.
Told that a K3 key should work (also heard it won't too...)

K3 is correct if your chuck isn't a dinosaur.

Not sure on the year, haven't had it long. What else would it be if it wasn't k3?

also when I zoom in on the picture of Lowes 1/2" chuck key it is stamped "K3" and "32", should I be concerned that it isn't stamped 33?

Measure the pilot hole with the back end of a burr free drill bit. K3 most likely, but they have made the 6a for sooooo long that the early ones were special.

33 is the mounting taper

K3 key. Number 33 refers to the taper # mount of the spindle.
