Drill problems all at once

Using my old craftsman 19.2 drill today and charger craps out all the sudden,no problems for several years with them.Charger just died at once,no light lite up when you place battery in it.no problem,i,ll just use my heavy Dewalt hammer drill heavy for this 83 year old guy ,pressed trigger and sparks intermintly comes out top vents then runs fine for a few.At my age hoping not to have to buy anymore.Dewalt may be brushes possabily ,dont know bout craftsman charger lights got finikey for last month when i put battery in ,now no lights at all,Was hoping they woulda been last ones i needed at my age.Paul

take your charger apart and check the fuse in it. Over the years I have purchased several used tools to find the charger didn't work. Only one has not been a fuse.
