Drip edge question

I am about to roof a section on my house. My father-in-law says that there is an Alcoa drip edge that is made with an integral hanger for the gutters, sort of like a Pittsburgh seam, and there are special gutters made for this edging. Any idea what he's talking about?

I have searched the internet and come up with nothing. Alcoa's website shows no drip edge or gutter products. I don't think he's FOS, because he's used it on his own house, but I have no idea where to find the stuff (or even its proper name) here in Ohio.

I've not heard of it or seen it, but I would check with a seamless gutter company. It might be an item available only to those types of contractors. The main question that comes up in my mind about it, is that your gutter should have about 1/4 in. drop per 10 foot of run. I can't visualize how an integral hanger in the drip edge would allow this.

Good point on the fall in the gutters. Looks like we may just be using conventional drip edge.
