I'm not so sure drip edge on a roof really makes a difference? Every time I see it, its falling off or looks like ****. i'm buiding a new shed and I'm ready for shingles. what do you think?

I recommend using the drip edge not only for appearance sake but it also protects the edge of the osb/plywood from getting wet and rotting away. Just my 2

If its falling off it wasnt installed properly. Drip edge helps keep water off of the facia and will extend the life of your facia.

Like others have posted....if properly installed it'll outlast the shingles. But one other reason for installing(besides the drippy aspect)....is it keeps the lower edge of shingles straight.Without, they'll get soften'd by heat and just sag.BW
