Building a 40x50 metal garage (tube steel) that will be climate controlled and spray foamed. The installer wants to charge me $6500 to add dripstop to walls and ceiling. I can’t seem to justify if I’m sealing and climate controlling. For those wondering why not pole barn, in my area they are double the cost. Any thoughts on if dripstop is worth it? Thank you!

Some will say to install house wrap so the foam doesn't stick to the metal as foam can void the warranty and make replacement hard. Others say don't bother.
I'd check with the metal supplier for their vote, but house wrap would be as far as I would go if you are foaming

Worthless if you're going to sprayfoam. Make sure you have something in writing from the building manufacturer confirming it will not void your warranty.

If you use the dripstop, spray foam will not void rust warranty, if you spray directly on steel, it will void.

House wrap would be a much cheaper way to do that
Great I’ll reach back out and see if I can do that instead. Is it safe to spray foam the wrap and not direct to metal? Can this cause moisture issues?

Yes they have a machine that does it during installation.

I think it's unnecessary but would investigate any manufacturers advice on the direct spray foam.
With a wood structure, rolling out Tyvek would be my recommendation due to the simplicity of installing and the ease of possible future repairs to a panel.
