Drip tray for Harbor Freight engine stand?

Good afternoon guys,

Recently picked up the 1k engine stand from Harbor Freight:

Pretty nice unit. I did spend some extra money to replace the cheap hardware it came with. It's currently holding a Daihatsu 660cc EF-SE engine.

Just curious is anyone out there using this stand has purchased a drip tray compatible with this stand? HF doesn't offer a drip tray but I found several different types online with a quick search.

You can spend a ton money for purpose built drip pans or spend a few bucks for baking/cookie pans. I buy 3 pack, 13'x17" baking pans from Sam's Club cheap. I also use them as a tray to clean and disassemble parts, keeps parts from rolling off the table.

I found some great baking pans at my local $1.00 store. They had various sizes in stock. I was rebuilding the four carbs off my Corvair engine and I bought one for each.

I have the larger version and use a standard automotive drip pan on it available at the auto-parts store for ~$10.

I bought a large plastic tray that is meant to go under a washing machine from Home Depot. It has worked flawlessly for me whether under a vehicle or under an engine atand

if you get one of those divided cleaning buckets. the 2 section ones, they sit over the center rail nicely.

made for an engine stand. But you can buy a lot of baking pans for the same money. Also read some of the 2 star reviews, apparently it doesn't catch all the drips!

Realize this is an old thread but I was searching and loved @madtinkerer's idea. Works perfect. $22 from home depot and i made a little 2x4 H frame to support it properly.
