Has anyone seen a tool to remove drive in zerks?

My uncle used to have one at work so I know they exist, but I can't find one for myself. His was a straight shaft that you push on the zerk then you hit it with a hammer and it pops out the zerk.

The only strike tool I've seen is for cleaning clogged zerks. If you find it please post a picture, I'd be interested in seeing how it worked.

If you can't I'd suggest picking up a cheap pair of flush cut end nips. That's what I use at work for removing press in zerks. Works like a champ.

I currently use the snap off, drill out method myself. This however works much better, and faster.

I wish i had a picture, but he retired. He didn't think it would be a big deal to find one since they had so many at the plant.

It looked just like what you use to clean out a plugged zerk. A rod about 8 inches with a head that you push down on top of the zerk. When you hit it with a hammer it pops out the zerk.

It must have been a tool built at the plant.

Sounds like a straight shaft pin punch would potentially work but a spring loaded way foe it to seal against the zerk would help. Or maybe it was just driving air in, not hitting the ball?
