I was in HD the other day and this caught my eye. I think it was $30 or so.

Husky 3/8 In. Drive Rotator Ratchet features a twist action handle for a zero degree arc swing. Rotator features a comfort grip and is Guaranteed Forever.

Does any of the other tool companies have this? And does anyone have one and like it. Not sure if I really need one.....

i own blackhawk 1/4dr at wholesale tools for like 20 dollars.. it is good for tight area where i cant use screwdriver at dashboard or door... but big thing is i know Stanley was made it for mac tools, blackhawks, and stanley tools.... you can get stanley's rotator ratchet for 25 dollars at wal mart....

Just don't buy the Neiko, it works, but feels like a sloppy piece of junk. The ratio of handle to drive turning is about 4:1, so you can apply a fair amount of torque.

If you search with the patent number that should turn up most of the brands.

I have this exact one it's built good but, It is great for tight areas, but other than that it's kinda bulky for a 3/8 ratchet. It's not my favorite go to ratchet for everyday use

Stanly makes an identical one that i seen at walmart for about the same price.

Like the GearWrench stuff, good idea, but may take a few years years to optimize.

I bought the stanley one when it first came out at walmart, I love the thing, it's great for tight spaces when you need the ratcheting but can't swing it. Got one for my girls father, he likes it as well, we put an exhaust on with it, didn't have one problem.

I haven't decided if I want to replace the junk Neiko I have now, or wait and see how the tool gets improved.

When you use one of these how do you put the final torque on?

I would not mind having one of those type ratchets to add to my arsenal, I guess I don't care who makes it or where it comes from if it looks and feels decent in my hand at the time of purchase;in particular if it is a seldom used tool as this ratchet would be. Different story for what I would consider the heart or core group of tools I really rely upon to get a job done.

I say no thanks!!!

I have a Husky one my dad bought me. The head is huge, I mean massive, when you swing the handle on a bolt, it seems the handle wants to rotate. I tried it once, and have never touched it since. Its sitting in a small tool box for all of the **** I dont use/need. IMO its a waste of time and money.

1. Blackhawk
2. Stanley
3. Husky
4. Popular Mechanics old version

They look to be all the same manufacture, except the last one is an old original version of the rotator ratchet.

Here is an image of the junky Neiko, very sloppy, klunky feeling.

PM me if you want to sell that Husky you don't use, or trade it for some nice new SK sockets.

Yah I looked at it at the store and said to myself "GIMMICK". The best version made IMO is the bluepoint. Alot more compact.
