This is a driving training school display from Germany. It was hung on the classroom wall of a driver training school to teach the laws of the road. This was manufactured by Werner Deneger of Hannover, Germany. This probably dates for the 60's or 70's.

The display is about 3 feet tall and about 4 feet wide with a wooden frame. The board is steel so that magnetic signs, markers, pedestrians, traffic cops, vehicles, etc. can be attached. The intersections have traffic lights that can be controlled by push buttons. The electrical is 220V with a European plug. With some ingenuity and a small transformer you could get the electrical operational.

There are a few dozen signs and other items that come with the board as shown in the photos. (It would be super cool to adapt a bunch of Barndoors, split window beetles, Eriba trailers and other model toys to the scene.) All the magnetic pieces come in a sturdy wooden box. Some of the signs are older metal pieces and some are plastic.

Included in this package is a German text driver training manual. The manual is super cool all alone. It has more than 200 pages of illustrations, text, fold out diagrams describing road signs, driving techniques, motor vehicle laws, vehicle types, mechanics, engine and transmission operation, etc. I believe this manual is from the 50's. It has a few drawings of VW's inside along with a cool exploded view of a VW motor.

Price is for local pickup only in San Marcos, CA.
