driveway drag for quad

has anyone made a drag for their gravel driveway (or trail?) to tow behind a quad (or riding mower, small tractor). I would like to build one and am looking for some ideas that worked well for others.
Pictures would be great and any ideas that did not work well. (Things to avoid).
I am thinking of using a cheap (HF?) wireless winch to raise the unit on wheels for turning around at the road or pulling into the garage.

Local little league association drags their infield with a section of heavy chain link fencing in between a square frame made out of c-channel. seems to work well. But I don't think that they raise or lower it for any reason.

I made one last week. Section of chain link and then I put a 2x8 toward the front and attached 3 45lb tractor weights to it. Toward the back I put a 2x4 and put 1 weight on that as well. Worked out well. Was able to pull it with my 20hp yard tractor in high gear without any trouble.

If you are trying to level the road or trail and fill in potholes then a land plane is what you want. Get two timbers to run length wise and use three cross members, one at each end and one in the middle. The three crossmembers will drag material from the high spots and drop it in the low spots. Usually 2-3 times longer than wide. Material selection will depend on your puller. A quad will probably handle 3-4' wide and made of 2x4's. The one we had on the farm years ago was made of 4x12's probably 20 feet long by 8' wide and pulled behind a good sized tractor in the fields. It also had iron on the leading edges of the crossmembers.

For a drag, a bed spring works well, crusher screen too.

I used to use a bed frame. It lasted about two years and then I started finding bed springs and parts all over my driveway!
I made this one with some scrap angle. It was before I had my welder so if I made it now I would just weld it together and not bolt it. I use the side with the bolts facing down to loosen the hard pack, then flip it over and it smoothes out the high/low spots. I just use a chain and hook one side to the point of the drag and the other to the tow ball on the atv. I guess you could weld some cross members to hold a few cinder blocks but I find this thing is heavy enough that I don't have too.

That unit looks pretty simple and you say it works well? That would be great and easy to make.

That DR unit looks great but it is over $1000. I want to make it myself because I cannot afford to buy one. I may be able to steal some design ideas from it.

I want it to lift so I can turn around out on the dirt road and not drag the road or have to disconect. I have a fairly simple idea in mind that I think would work.

I use an old set of Harrows behind the ride on mower and they work well. would work similar to what gwis2 posted.
