I am getting ready to have my driveway put in and am getting very different cost for the same set-up. I am getting ~1400 ft^2 with fiber and a 20' x 12' section of mesh-rebar (over backfilled area). I have recieved quotes from $2.70 to $3.25 per ft^2. What is everyone else paying for concrete driveways these days?

What psi rating? What thickness? Concrete is priced by volume (cubic yard), not area (square foot). What are expansion joint spacing dimensions? Are they quoting different cure methods? Where are you located?

you really get what you pay for, figure out hoow much concrete, rebar wire, fiber $5 a yard, concrete around $90-100 a yard. labor going be double. and that be a good price. if you take the cheapest price, they will water it upp and it crack. It better if you buy the concrete and just pay labor. that way you own the concrete and they cant put water in it.

if they buy the concrete they can do what ever they want. they are going screw you so be ready. I not saying this to be mean, that how they make money. pour it wet and get out

When I priced driveway concrete work here in the SF Bay Area three years ago, it all came in at $10.50/sq ft. That's installed - grading, prep, finish, etc.

I just finished pouring 8140 sq. ft., which was 117 yards of concrete. 4992 sq. ft was for the inside and the remainder was the apron and driveway.

I was charge $3.50 per sq. ft, which included 1/2" rebar 2 ft on center and leveling and compacting more than 250 yards of fill. Plus he put down the 2" foam insulation under the interior floor. I paid for the fill and insulation.

I was very satisfied with the work and thought the price was fair for the work that was done.
