Driveway Sealcoating

It's that time of year again to get it done. What products are you guys using for your asphalt driveway, and what are you using to fill in cracks? I normally hire this out but would like to tackle it this year, especially since I have a Menards, Lowes, and Home Depot nearby.

Use the premium material with the sand filler.
It will take you the same amount of labor either way.

What did you use to fill cracks? I have some that are 1/4" now, some even slightly bigger too.

Try to stay away from any that have coal tar in them. Buy the latex stuff.

I used this stuff last year to fill cracks in my asphalt driveway prior to having it sealed. I've tried everything in the past. Follow this link and read the reviews.

You push this stuff into the cracks and then heat with a propane torch. In my case, I had an attachment to a small propane bottle that allowed me to melt it into the cracks while standing up right. Just follow the directions. You can also add additonal layers after it sets. This stuff is the bomb.

Most stores do not carry this product; only available on line.

A friend gave one of those to me. Great concept, but had to change the bottles out about every 3 minutes.
