Driveway sealer other uses?

Hey guys, I was just sealing my driveway & was wondering what I can use the extra sealer for. Growing up my neighbor used it on his deck for his mower as a rust preventive. I'm sure the sealers changed since 1978. ANy ideas?

I also had that neighbor use the sealer inside his wooden flower boxes to prevent rot.


Just thought I would ask... I'm sure someone out here will know

Can't answer that without knowing what type of sealer you are using.
My best guess is to look on the container for suggested uses.

found a web page that has people using it to soak the bottom of fence posts before going into ground.

Also, they use it for inside plant boxes to prevent rot.

No, no, no. That's not driveway sealer. It's resto in a can, aka spray undercoating.
