Would Kydex be a good material for the drum switch cover? I've looked alot and can't find a replacement cover for this Furnas brand switch

Kydex seems to be easy to work with and mold when heated up and retains it's form when cooled.......just brainstorming

Just basically a top, two sides with 90° bends

Any other options??

Contact Hubbell, the current owner of the Furnas drum & pressure switch product lines & see if a new cover is available?

Would using sheet metal be a bad idea for a switch cover?

Arcing and such?

I'm likely going to have to fab up my own sheet metal cover

Drum switches, even used, are pricey on ebay
