I am replacing an ancient tilt-up plywood garage door, nominally 7' x 16'.
My preference would be a commercial type door that rolls up on itself rather than on guides along the ceiling for 8 feet or so.
This allows me to continue to have lights and overhead storage in that area.
The headroom is 18" and the side room is about 20" on each side.
What is the difference between a "sheet door" and other rollup doors?
Is 18" enough headroom for a rollup door to open all the way, leaving a full 7 foot opening unobstructed?
Is 20" enough side clearance for a garage door opener?
Assuming this can be done, how would I determine a good brand and installer in the Sacramento area?
Thanks
