Just found about these today. I have to have one. I have the typical abrasive chop saw, but this thing puts it to shame. The dry cut saw turns slower that its abrasive counter part.
I would rather build one as I have most of the components laying around here except the arbor. Thought about direct coupling the arbor (where do you get these anyway) to a 1740rpm 3hp 220vac motor but you would loose alot of your cutting capacity. So! Y'all think belt driven with a jack shaft would do it? I have alot of 4" square tubing to cut.
