Anyone use one of these and lived with it for a while?

I saw a stamped concrete contractor using the stuff. It looked like acid stained but with a more vivid color. I thought it was attractive but wonder if it actually hardens concrete much. It's fairly expensive and has to be done during the pour. My usual concrete guy doesnt offer it.

I've done it with a microtopping to update some awful pink integral concrete that was an accent color on my customers driveway and throughout her front patio. She loves the stamped texture and the microtopping has been solid now for 1 year so it's solid enough to handle a heavy Range Rover. I don't have any way to compare it to if we hadn't used the harder but here's some facts about powder dry shake.
It is a stinkin messy time especially if you arent doing everything and are trying to keep it off adjoining concrete. The color may not look exactly what you imagined at first. There is a short waiting period between when you stamp and then when you pressure wash of course and it really brings out the correct shade when you do so. Use 2 or 3 colors to give your concrete depth and texture and don't forget a darker color to pop some of the details. I know I have a closeup of the texture but you can see where the pink is in the before pics on the left. On the 2nd pic, you see a diamond in the center of the driveway that gets hit on an angle every time they come home. It's hard or it would have cracked. 72fe1a5ddb5073e69acb6c85cb8eae9a.jpgc9b6ad3b49a9eba239d58ba8e9ad24f8.jpg

It will be new freestanding concrete so mess is OK. Skim coats take a beating so I guess it is tough enough. I m after a greyish concrete color covered with epoxy or Rust Bullet or whatever they invent in the next five years. I just want harder concrete.

Maybe tougher might be the better word. I m not going to use a cutting torch in here just park cars and change oil. I have seen lots of concrete just not shrug off what I consider moderate use. Color isnt important. I am hoping some concrete guy will say " just do this" or " just buy this" and I can drag a floor jack over the same spot for thirty years without wearing a dip. Or chipping, spalling, or gouging.

Skim coats can work fine where there are palm trees, but where there is freeze/thaw they often can pop off,so geography is an issue to be concerned with.

Our Spartacote polyaspartic coating can be used outdoors with or without flecks for those wishing to coat outdoor surfaces with an epoxy-like product.

There are admixtures that make the concrete rated stronger. Fritz Pak makes some and they are very cool about sending out samples and then the topcoat is gonna help a lot. Sorry, thought you were asking bc you wanted a texture stamp.
