Second story in-law style addition attached to existing home. I can come out with a dryer vent about 5 feet, horizontally, from a bedroom window either close to floor level, near ceiling level or somewhere in the middle. Window is at right angle to wall and close to the corner so in view from window.
I have a choice to come out low and less visible or higher with less moist heat getting near window.
Washer/dryer unit has exhaust port about 3.5 feet up and in the middle of the combo washer/dryer unit.
Height of exit is my only choice as I see it without a lot of extra work/expense and much longer duct run. It's pretty much a straight run horizontally of about 6 feet from laundry closet to outdoors
