Drylok on wood floor??

Anyone ever use Drylok on a wood floor? Trying to seal off a wood floor from pet pee. Pig to be exact. We tried the great pet formula ,soap, baking powder and vinegar. We shellacked it the smell lessened. It's a lot better just not gone. I'm going to try Drylok clear over the shellac. Maybe??

Did you use de-waxed shellac? Not sure if Drylok would stick to the regular stuff.

I think there are a few or more formulations of Drylok nowadays. I've only used the original latex based & oil based.

Either way I'd probably try to clean off as much as possible with denatured alcohol.

We used Killz to take care of old person pee on a wood floor that was under carpet. Put new carpet down and haven't had any issues.

probably not a good idea, they do flake off I think... outside of harder material like bricks or cements... why not a clear coat of poly... or water base poly stuff. I'll hold up..

Not sure what you mean by they flake off.? Its a clear I have. Might try the poly or the Kilz.

Ah my mistake thought it was the traditional white wall paints.
