Drywall ceiling joint cracks

Hi All,
So my ceiling has cracked where the drywall sheets were joined. Each sheet was butted together with nothing else to reinforce the joint. They taped over the joint and they have opened up. I dont have access to the back side to reinforce the joint.
I was thinking of pulling down the tape and applying a small bead of construction adhesive in the seam and taping and finishing after it cures.
Will this work?
Thanks Steve

I just live with mine in my garage. I have 2x4 trusses and laid 7/16" OSB down to store stuff up there, my 250# azz walking around up there, did it to myself.

Typically they don't do anything else to reinforce it. You could remove the tape and caulk it and paint it, or use fibermesh tape and remud it.
