Howdy,i was looking at renting a drywall lift from HD,for 198.00 per week i feel im better off buying one ,i saw some on Kijiji for 100.00 -175.00 ,the one i found used for 100.00 was new in box, said it holds up to 120 Lbs, i cant afford to buy all the osb for ceiling all at once so i figured buy my own lift use it and then sell it off, anyone else done this ,instead of renting one? just curious to hear some input on this.Seems like a no brainer to me....win win situation.

I got a lift from Northern tools with a coupon for 170ish and have used it for OSB on a 9 foot ceiling. Worked like a champ. Also used it to hang 125 sheets of 1/2" drywall. It has paid for itself 10x over.

In the plans for actual drywall. I found a coworker who wants to drywall his basement ceiling and we have an informal agreement to split the new cost of it when the time comes.

get on amazon. you can find a brand new drywall panel hoist for less than $150usd shipped to your door. I have found that under most circumstances you cannot find one used for that price.

Buy it and then sell it after, they hold their value! (I just did)
