Any thoughts on a way to store a drywall lift out of the way? Mine consumes a ton of floor space, so I'm thinking maybe a wall mount solution would work?

How often are you going to actually use it? Stuff like a drywall lift I'd only use every few years, I'd probably sell, and when it comes time to use one again, look for a pre-owned unit. There's only so much stuff you can store, and it's a pretty big trade off to store bulky things like a drywall lift that are super low use.... in my opinion, of course.

OP…you sure you need it…seems like they could be stored outside in a shed or similar…garage space usually is too valuable for one of those.

I bought mine to drywall my garage…worked great with those 5/8 ceiling boards. If somebody wants it super cheap…it’s yours…only intended to use it once…so I don’t need it.

A friend of mine, sold his to me, so I could store it.
Everyone I know who "has" a drywall lift let someone else borrow it.

As long as you trust your friends to keep tabs on it this seems to be the most effective storage solution.

That or sell it.

Storing mine at my dad’s house for this exact reason. He has a ton of space and I don’t.

Basically I just need it to finish my ceiling this summer. After that, I will sell it.

I took mine apart and strapped it all together. Takes up much less space with the wheel beams off the floor.

Garage attic for mine. Tucked back towards the fascia. I think I've got it down twice in the past 6 years.

Mine is offsite in a small garage that I rehabbed instead of tearing down. The original idea was to sell the lift when I was done with the projects on hand. I have one more project in the works, and after that it’s going on marketplace.

They still sell new lifts everyday, for less than the cost of renting one for a few weeks, so in the unlikely event I need a lift after mine hits the road, I will just order another one.

I lent mine out to my uncle for about a year, then a buddy for another 6-8 months, currently a co-worker is holding on to it. I will need it back this summer but havent used it since late 2020.

I store mine in a box made out of scrap 2x and osb. Box is 20x21 x 48 or so high. Could have made it a bit taller to be able to put a lid on it, but it was made with 4' wide scrap pieces. Move it with a dolly.

Welp, given my relatively short timeframe, I suppose I will lean it against a wall for the next 6 months and just sell it off once I'm done with it

Don't ask.
Mine folds almost flat and sits against a wall, usually behind sheets of plywood I keep on hand "just in case". At first I considered strapping it to the ceiling.
