Hi Everyone, I've been reading these boards for awhile and have found them very helpful.
Starting a new project to remove drywall from an existing ceiling which follows roof rafters and no air baffles were installed prior to insulating. This is causing problems. Only way to correct is to remove a section of drywall joining a pony wall and going up a 7/12 pitch on 24"oc rafters. This section is 5' high to a flat ceiling 3' wide.
Question is should I hang drywall in 4x5' sections vertically using factory joints to tape on the 33 foot run and **** joints at the pony wall and ceiling (on both sides of converted attic) or hang 4x8 with a 1'x8' section horizontally?
