I would hang it myself and finish it, but if you aren't comfortable doing mud work, pay someone to do that part of the job. Something that no one has mentioned- use a LOT of construction adhesive- don't skimp, full continuous beads- glue that sheetrock to the studs and you won't ever have to worry about fixing nail pops.

As long as you use screws (most every pro does now days) and know what you're doing (you can screw into the studs!), you won't have nail pops. No glue should ever be required, except on ceilings, where gravity is always acting on it. Then it's used for security.

Price quote question

32 x 38 .. 12 foot ceiling, nothing on ceiling in the way , except the tracks for the garage doors

No lights, outlets, etc at this time

guy quoted me $1800 just labor to hang sheetrock, does that sound right ?
