Just need advice on what size wire I would need to get 100 amps to a metal building 100
Feet from my house that has a newer 200 amp box installed?

#2 Al MHF(mobile home feeder) protected with 90a breaker! CU conductors will blow a hole in your wallet but if u prefer CU then 3 #3 CU wires with 1 #8 CU wire for the EGC protected by a 100a breaker! It doesnt matter that the panel is rated for more than the feeder breaker.

Will this be a one man shop and if so what equipment will be used?

You'll also need to install 2 ground rods, at least 6 feet apart, connected to the panel with #6 copper. And the most important thing- the neutral can't be bonded to the ground in the subpanel.

Are you in the US or Canada? There's a lot more information we need (see post above about equipment).
