Which one feels/looks/sounds/smells better to you? That's all that really matters, both will do the job.

The 88 has a MUCH smaller head that is much thinner, as thin in fact as the new pro Snap-On.

One vote for the Matco 88.

But as another mentioned, it is truly about personal preference.

i'd like to see a matco88 but matco pulled my dealers franchise. i have been waiting 1 week for another dealer to call me about warranty on a few items. i'll check one out when and if he calls.

Ive always wondered do they put a limit on what and how much you can buy thru the tech programs? Im assuming they do.

I'm pretty sure they do, but I am sure people are able to get around it. Just take a look at eBay. Who sells that many NEW ratchets?.....

One of you peeps said earlier that the Matco 88 has a real thin flexible cover plate ... that would concern me if I was considering one.

From my own personal experience, I love my F936. :)

If that was the case then the new 60 tooth I have F/S in classifieds would be gone ;)

So I take that to be proof of my previous statement?

Im not making that statement as i own 7 Dual 80's and i get along with all of them all but im interested in trying the Matco 88Tooth and also the 100 tooth snap on. Ah Jeez its a vicious circle.

No need to get defensive! LOL :)

SO in my estimation that makes the MATCO a screaming deal for someone on the prowl. Plus one for the Matco!

Fact it is, there is no way in hell a New 3/8 drive Snap on ratchet would last 5 minutes on the classifieds at that price, dual 80 or not.

Yup ask Rickster, BWP and some of the other sellers here.

Call me old school but I really like the 832 series in 1/2 drive and 936 in 1/3 and 3/8.

No doubt the 80 and 88s are great tools; can't go wrong with either one IMO.
