I had one, it was interesting, but nothing that I would use on a regular basis. What are you planning on using it for?

The only thing that I will say is that it has no kickback and that is handy some times. You need the lubrication sticks as well. The machine itself must have a low duty cycle, it would get pretty hot when using for any length of time.

Here is a review that shows some of the features.

In the market for a new saw. My Milwaukee hatchet sawzall got stolen. Are the Dual saws worth the money. Or should I stick with another Milwaukee ?

BPJOOP93,

Here are some past GJ member reviews on the DualSaw:

From these reviews, I gathered the DualSaw does not excel in cutting through wood but does its best through metal. Since it does not have a built-in guide, the user is forced to use the DualSaw free hand which affects the accuracy of the cuts.

The circular ones ****! Truly. Do not waste your $$. They do cut metal (that's all I do) but they're CRAZY loud and throw chips --somehow-- all over the back of your neck. No, I am not a whiner about hot metal. I'll stand in a spray of grinder sparks and I just lick my lips before heavy cuts on the lathe 'cause that's all part of it.

But these things are ridiculous and 99% gimmick.

All the above I might tolerate but they overheat 'cause they're underpowered. Most have an 8A motor which is not enough to spin 2 blades --these days many standard 4.5" grinders are 8A+

Truly, there are better ways to spend your money on a cutting tool.

DO NOT BUY THEM

THEY ARE CRAPs CRAPs CRAPs.

Acutally I have the Dual Saw CS650... one of those sorry POS I get suckered in by the infomercial. (sorry rant on **** tools). I saw the late Billy Mays on that infomercial cutting that car in half... couldn't be that bad right....... I wonder how many DualSaws they burn cutting that thing.... but it is special effects and cut / edit infomercial.

Obnoxiously loud, blade dulls fairly fast. Good only on the first few cuts..... and blades are expensive. Motor is ..... worse than the $9.99 HF grinder motors (that drill master brand one 4.5 in grinder).

When a circular blade fails it tends to fail spectacularly. I had one shred itself and launch a blade peice embed itself into my garage door. If there had been others in the garage with me it would have been a trip to the ER.

^^and above dogdog nailed it too. Why do they have to have infomercials to try to sell it? Milwaukee, Dewalt, IR.......they come out w new products too. But they hold media events and go to trade shows to push their wares. Be skeptical of anything on infomercials, and product concepts that have been around 15+ years but never picked up by reputable manufacturers.

The other big red flag??? Who was first to try to take it mainstream? Craftsman! That's right folks, from the company who also brought you RoboGrips, more than one attempt at a one-size-fits-all wrench, the newest Mach stuff and other infamous gimmicks.

Finally, I've run my own metalworking shop since '09 and never ONCE thought to myself, gee, a DualSaw would be perfect for this. If I can't do it w grinders (4.5" or 6", cordless, corded and air), electric shears, plasma, metal cutting circular (corded or cordless), lathe, mill, die grinders, oxy/acetylene, bandsaw (stationary or portaband).....chances are the DualSaw will not be a sudden panacea!!
