Piece of advice:

I have a friend who has a dual saw - loves it.
Have a friend who has a knock-off - hates it.

Same with the Fein MultiMaster when compared to the knock-off (Craftsman, HF, etc.)

Before you purchase, check the specs of the original compared to the less expensive version.

I had the Craftsman version briefly. Worked really well cutting sheet metal and EMT, and I was pretty impressed. Then I went to cut a piece of steel roofing without running it up to speed, and the counter-rotating blades locked on the metal. Took about 1/2 second and the brushes smoked. I took them out and one was burnt and the other was shattered.

When I looked into it, the replacement brushes were expensive (can't remember the price, but it was silly), and standard brush sizes wouldn't fit. Also it appears that brushes are a common issue with the Craftsman model. I took it back.

If the DualSaw version doesn't burn up brushes, you might like it. It works really well on stuff like aluminum soffits, because the counter-rotating blades keeps the material from flopping around as you cut it.
