I have to agree with the usefulness of a camera in the garage, especially since having a garage door opener.

No worries, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Well for one it is about 1/5th the overall size including the attachments of a leaf blower. In my application i also don't need and don't already have a leaf blower. I'll try and post up a pic with something to get a perspective of the size. Extremely small and nimble. These are very useful tools to get water off the car when cleaning.

I completely agree on the pricing of the Master blaster; out of my range.

Well you also don't want to to use a leaf blower out in the yard then use it on a car, seeing that it can blow at over 150mph, if stuck dirt let's loose, hello paint chips!

The leaf blower idea can also work but as was mentioned you would want to be careful about blowing any previous dirt picked up. I have an electric leaf blower that was never used much in the yard (have gas powered for that work now) that I now dedicate to blowing off my motorcycle after washing. But I admit its just my poor mans version of the purpose built blower. It does the job ok and I have it already but is bigger and bulkier than the one dubber shows. I see these blowers advertised under different brand names and a lot for the motorcycle industry. It's a great way to quickly clear off water from chrome and paint without leaving water spots and, air can get into all the small places that a towel cannot.
Someday I would like to have one of those Blaster blowers just because its smaller to handle and has the more useful shaped nozzle than my old leaf blower. You will like it a lot when detailing your vehicles.

Re-reading my comments they DO sound like I was criticizing and that was not my intent. Apologies if I ticked someone off.

I've never used my leaf blower as a vac; although it has that capability. So I don't think it has sucked up any dirt, etc. to hit the car. And frankly, my cars are not perfect enough to worry about if I decided to use it for blowing them off. I did try it once and didn't like how it came out so I've never done it again. I wash them weekly, clay bar and wax them frequently. I subscribe to the "wax-at-least-one-panel-every-time-you-wash-it" philosophy, but since I do take my big dually and our Volt on frequent trips up the coast a couple hundred miles they do see their share of incidental damage to their front ends in particular.

This mini blaster thing does appear to be quite small and that IS attractive. I'm old school I suppose and use a chamois or clean towels to dry my vehicles. But then they do weep water from assorted spots which is always an effort to go chase drips. At $75 I might give one of these a try. I suppose if I still don't like it I can return it to Amazaon. I'm a Prime member so I likely wouldn't even be charged for the shipping!

Another question since you've been more active on this forum. I hate to offend, but 99% of the garages on here on complete junk. Guys are so darn tacky. How in the world do some of these threads have millions of views? This forum has so much potential and there are literally like 5 garages on this entire forum that I've seen that look remotely interesting to me. What am I missing?

The beauty of this place is that everyone can share their space, and SOMEONE else will likely find something to appreciate. Not everyone is only looking for shiny new installations and builds, some are more drawn to a sense of history, vintage, and well-used spaces. Some are into salvage, repurposing, and "use what you got" type builds rather than buying new materials and items. Some just want to see how others organize and work, regardless of the state of the shop itself. My point is that maybe if you look past the superficial, you might find some hidden gems and great tips in an unassuming "junk" thread... then again, maybe it's just not your thing, and that's OK too, as long as you don't dump on someone else's thread.

I used compressed air run though a dryer and pressure regulator when I detailed, so the big one kinda looked like a pain to deal with. That little one looks pretty nice if it works.

Thanks I'm pretty interested in seeing how it works. My m3 holds tons of water in all the cracks. I can wash it, dry it, let it sit over night, and when I drive the next day it dumps water all over the side and back of the car.

My "current" plan is to just mount the hose reel to the wall above where the compressor will be parked. And thanks, i'm hoping that i will be able to post a pic of the real thing at some point this month.

My entire Christmas break has been dedicated to making over our bonus room into a home theater. I'd love to see pics of your room as it comes along. I'll have to share some too or link to my build on AVS forums. We've really enjoyed movies and games on the big screen. Be warned it is much like our garages - you can't stop thinking about new changes and improvements but it is very fun.

I would love to see pics of that, if you could find that link that would be great. My project is still in its infancy phase. Its something i've always wanted since i was a kid actually. One of my favorite memories is getting my first system all set up in my bedroom when i was 15. My mom used to say it sounded like Helicopters were landing on the roof with my Subwoofer pumping. This obviously snowballed once i got a car and a license; full upgraded systems with TV's and all lol...Our new place has an awesome bump out in the basement where i'm setting everything up. Everything is hooked up and furniture is in place but i need to do a lot of refining and changes to the decor to give it the appropriate ambiance. We also have been enjoying it at nights and weekends hanging out and watching movies. This past week was catching up on Ray Donovan and Empire Boardwalk episodes on demand; hours can easily fly by, i have to be careful

Its a pretty basic system at this point but its working well thus far. Since i was a teenager I've wanted Cerwin Vega speakers due to an older cousin of mine having some; something about those red rings

Sony 60" LED Smart TV, Speakers are all Cerwin Vega's, Velodyne Sub, Denon avr, and a Sony Commander at the helm. Then i also have the Apple TV and Wii hooked up. My ear luckily isn't experienced enough yet to notice the need for a higher end system.

We where going to do the Joe Knows Boat tour/adventure thing but a hurricane came through when we where down there 2 years ago.

What airport did you fly out of? We flew into the main airport - and took that shady/dangerous drive through the mountainside to get to our resort - was like a 2 hour ride.

Piton is great! Consumed a couple 2-4's worth hahaha. It might be one of my favorite local island beer that i've tried thus far while on a destination vacation. Some that i can recall are: Caybrew, Cristal, Buccaneer, Carib, Banks, Presidente, Bohemia, Medalla Light. I also didn't mind the Heineken on draft

Our group (10 people) all took Joy's Cruise. Awesome boat trip with mud bath, Suphur springs, bat cave, beach lunch, snorkeling and island tour. Great day, highly recommended.

We flew out of the international airport at the bottom of the island. Sounds like we had the same fun adventure with the commute. Ours was about 1.5 hours of windy roads and crazy elevation changes. We all joked that they must go through a ton of transmissions there with those loads. I actually now know that airport like the back of my hand with a crazy delay leaving yesterday.

Thanks to the help of a good buddy this bad boy is finally in the garage. After months of saving, searching and researching I finally closed the loop on this one. This Dewalt 15 Galon compressor, should be perfect to handle what i want to tackle. Very happy and can't wait to start playing with it, also excited to expand my knowledge in the air game.

Just ordered a Crisp Air retractable cord reel, in black! Costco has them for a good price so its worth a shot, especially with their great return policy.
