Blank canvas, glad to see another albertian, interested to see what you do to this one.
Take the cardboard up into Gatineau park one fine evening,
start a fire in a fire pit and have a weenie / marshmallow roast.
Why let good cardboard go to waste?
Before Texas, I lived in Ottawa for 10 years... congrats on the
new place & garage!
I cant wait to see what you do with the new digs.
Not sure what everyone is getting all excited about. There's very little you can do with a double...
LOL
I haven't yet had a chance to really examine the photos of your space. I want to take some time to really soak in the "Before" prior to seeing what you make of your blank canvas.
Also, I see you went with no CAPS. How could you do that to me?
My truck is outside and Leanne's suv is inside with my project car. When her suv is in the garage it will be -5 when it is colder outside and when I work in the garage i will pull her suv out to make room and heat the garage then. If you are leaving the daily driver in the garage and keeping it warm while you work then it maybe I could see a reason why a person would worry about too many wet and dry cycles with the salt on the vehicle... If I had a nice car and there was salt on the roads i would buy a beater but thats just me....
I just know that if you want to do a heater now is the time..... Having the option to work in the garage without gloves and a toque is nice right???

Definitely will be watching myself. I am a bit behind you, but I am wanting Ideas for my interior also. Trying to figure out floor as we speak. Continue on and good job.
No progress last night (in the garage that is) as wifey's treadmill arrived so i needed to put that together. I'm really not sure how those guys were able to get that box down to the basement? I swear its being sold with the house when we move. Then started tackling my basement theater room, soo many wires!
Theater room...that sounds interesting. Let's see some pictures of that.

Sounds VERY interesting!!![]()

If you need any advice on the theatre room inbox me, got one myself.![]()
Media rooms....treadmills....I'm afraid this thread is getting too off course already! Stay focused.
Big time lurker here...love your original build. Mention of a basement theater certainly piqued my interest. Have you spent any time on avsforum?
Remember the number one rule of home theaters: "don't hang the projector until everything else in the room is 100% done". As soon as I hung a projector in my living room the motivation for completing the basement theater vanished. Watching 3D HDTV, sports, and movies on a 156" screen in my living room with a killer audio system not only warped my sense of reality, but practically eliminated all desire to finish the basement theater.
So here I am, drooling over amazing garage builds and planning my own attack instead of finishing the basement theater build.
Keep your eye on the ball.![]()
For sure make the rest of the house nice and comfortable before you attack the garage, I am with you there! Congrats again on the step up!!
We look forward to the garage's outcome, be patient and you will have another hall of fame worthy garage!
By the amount of shoes in the first pictures, that house must be HUGE!
I liked a lot your old garage, In for the updates on this one.
and btw, never imagined excel like that![]()
Coming along!
That must be like Heaven on Earth for you! So, do you share a driveway with the place next door? I may have missed a few details of your place along the way.
Congrats on the new space!!!
Looking great!!
Nice upgrade. Looks like you did what I did. Did up you single and then had to move. With a roll up door you should be able to get a lift in there.
Nice man! I wish my garage was as clean as yours. With tools, lawn equipment, family storage and two disassembled trucks it always seems like a mess. My OCD kicks in when I go out there and I have considered putting everything on the curb and starting over. Great job! Keep up the good work!
Ive been scared to begin hole patching in my garage, I think I need to start soon after the electrical is done… motivation building…..building….
I check this thread between 30 and 40 times a day.
x2. I need more progress. At least, more pictures. Come on dubber!
