GREAT job on the GLI wall! I really like how it turned out, so clean and useful at the same time! The before (with patching) and after pics really show how much great work you did. The floor is coming along great as well. Looking forward to your next update!

Wow, makes sense that you used almost two containers. I managed to squeeze two coats out of 1 container. Think i'll leave it at that.
I used a CIL Smart, Triple weather protection, exterior paint. Works great for a variety of surfaces and its durable. Cans says it can be used with surfaces from Masonry to siding etc.

Just making sure, because I want to do mine, though I really really need to clean mine up first a bit. I'll post up some the concerns I have with mine later tonight in my thread once I get home.

I've actually haven't had to move mine much esp since it's been sitting in storage for some time now--placed it there when our house was still under renovation and the garage still needs some work so I haven't moved too much back in. I'll keep an eye on it tho!

I did the DAP caulking sealant along the joint between the footer and floor. Let that dry for a few days. Then applied the Behr floor sealant overtop of that. I'll then be painting the CIL paint over both in the corner.
Looking sharp. Interested to see how the double compares to the single.
Don't know if it would be double as nice, but here's hoping
Sooo many choices for flooring, really comes down to budget and look your going for. This route for the sealant fit the bill for me. I'm planning to cover it anyway.

We have something similar here at work. The static is very very bad with it, oddly.
Spent the weekend at a friends family cottage, well... its actually a beautiful brand new dream home on the water. I was in total awww. Obviously i had to check out the garage and see what was going on in there. It did not disappoint! Very nice heated tile floors with drains at the door entrance. Diamond plate lower wall trim and organized with top notch cabinets and wall hangers. Anyhow one thing that really stuck out was the opener. I had never seen this type before.
After some googling it seems as though its Liftmaster's Medium duty commercial unit. They had to upgrade the opener as the door was way too heavy I was told. I'm trying to also find a pic of the open close wall controls, even those were impressive. Reminded me of some sort of a private elevator control.
Not sure if anyone else has experience with these but i was very impressed with the quality and look of these.

how much if you don't mind my asking? I requested a quote for mine yesterday for the free flow.
In preparation for the floor arriving, hopefully this week i did a little more wall/floor prep. I did the same thing in my last garage and really enjoyed the result. Painting the corner and about an inch in helps to hide the transition between the floor and the wall. It helps to create a flow from the floor and continue up to the wall. The "colours" I'm choosing for the floor will also continue this theme. Just a small little detail that helps contribute to the whole project i think.
We had spent the weekend at a friends cottage and since the in-laws cared for our pup during that time i cleaned up the FIL's jag and wifey made them some dinner.

lol yeah then I got the actual quote, I'll admit it is a tad pricey, but from what I've seen in other posts it is worth it, and if I ever move I can take the tiles with me ;-)
Crazy day here in Ottawa, hard to concentrate on anything at the moment. Just happy that i can account for all my loved ones.
Received notice today that my order will be slightly delayed as they are out of the black FreeFlow tiles at the moment. Looks like I will have to wait until Halloween weekend to do my install, woe is me lol... This did however remind me that I hadn't posted the RaceDeck floor layout that I had decided on. Opted to go with FreeFlow again, but i swapped one of the colours. Going with Black, Graphite and Alloy this time. I'm thinking this will really tie the whole garage together well. I was initially going to do two blocks of the same design but i felt that would have looked better had i had two single garage doors instead of one large door.

Scary happenings in the nation's capital. I haven't yet had time to review all of what has been going on, but I know enough that it isn't/wasn't good.
But, congrats on your new FF floor. I like the idea of going with the alloy for the "band". I have kicked that same idea around in my head a couple of times. There's nothing wrong with a little change time to time. Have fun with the install. I don't think I need to remind YOU that pics will be necessary once it's down.

The city was crazy yesterday. I was following several news feeds on twitter along with the radio and online. I had several friends affected by the lock down in the core of the city. Also have family members who live blocks away from the locked down area so just making sure everyone was accounted for. My uncle unfortunately ended up with a birds eye view of the initial scene. His office window is directly in front of the memorial. Turned his head after the first shot and saw the last few shots. Something that won't be leaving his memory anytime soon.
As for the floor I'm totally stoked. As mentioned, a little bummed that I'm not going to be able to do it this weekend but its still going to happen. The Alloy for the band seems like a cool idea. Haven't seen a comparable layout from some searching so I'll see how it turns out. That's no doubt one of aspects that makes this type of flooring excel, if you don't like one colour selection its an easy change.

Great idea with the alloy band instead of the red. I've thought about replacing my red tiles with that color as well (I now feel like I have too much red!).

Going to do the same thing i did with my last order a couple years ago; get it shipped for free to the UPS center in Ogdensburg. About an hour drive for me so its well worth it.
Thanks, glad you agree. I'm thinking it should round out the whole space really well. Not that my last one was "flashy" by any stretch but I'm looking to have this garage a little more simple looking colour-wise.

Another couple things off my list today. I had a few cracks and voids near the base of the wall on both sides of the garage door so i filled those today with some window filler stuff, the name escapes me. Next on the list was putting a frosted film on the window in the garage, i really wanted something on there that avoided the need for blinds. We also had a bathroom that really needed it as we always had to have the blinds closed in there for any kind of privacy. Having two 2'x4' windows in the bathroom was a little much. Could potentially channel my inner exhibitionist lol...
One window done.
Now to the garage!
Pretty happy with the results. Not hard but time consuming and definitely need an extra set of hands for the peeling and spraying phases. I also did a little splicing with some leftovers to allow me to return one of the boxes. This will finance another shop light i'm thinking
Loving the privacy this gives while still allowing tons of light to come in.
Good idea I may borrow. I have a clear glass window in the garage up high and I do love the light it adds. Your approach may reduce need to clean the glass as often.
