Flooring looks great! I'd love to do the same but with my looong tar and chip driveway and sticky tires on the car I drag far too many small stones into my garage.

Thanks man. Its super easy to "install" and "uninstall" if you move or want to change the layout.
Well i've owned the car four years now and I'm told i have one of the first sets of these wheels in Canada, and i bought them new. Maybe you have seen a pic of my car before?
Ahh, yea that doesn't sound ideal, but you could always make it work. The solid tiles might be a better option for you.

I just cant for see how rolling things on that floor would work, that's my only complaint with it, and it also doesn't look comfortable if you ever had to lay down on it

Would be my pleasure if you could use some of my ideas in your space.
Actually rolling things on the floor is simple. And sliding things over the surface is actually simpler. Example. When i put the floor in i needed help to move the bench and cabinets etc that didn't have wheels as they don't slide on cement. After the floor was in and my helper was gone, i could actually just slide all the items into place by myself.
Surface is wayyyy more comfortable to walk, sit and lay down on, compared to the cement floor.

I completely agree with all of this. Sliding heavy items around on the Free Flow RaceDeck floor is easy as pie. Laying down on it is way more comfortable than concrete. Not to mention, cleaner.

/\ Agreed! Its funny because i could see how these questions would develop for someone who hasn't experienced the tiles first hand. They are deceiving in that they actually make everything easier in your garage like comfort while kneeling, standing and the ability to move items around, despite their look.

Very nice garage, it has come together very nicely. The floor really is a great piece to tie it all together. As I have just seen this thread for the first time, I had the pleasure of reading some of the early comments and it makes me laugh. Early on you were criticized for painting the gas line black, if only they had the vision you did. That gas line is now just another piece to the garage and blends in perfectly; no eyesore.

I'm lovin' the Racedeck - you've made me a convert. The black paint on the concrete wall base is a nice touch as well.
Do you find the black Racedeck gets dusty or dirty? I am thinking about the dirt and salt that we'll see this winter in Michigan. Presumably the answer is no since you ordered it a second time, but I'd like to get your thoughts.

That floor looks amazing. Not for me with my joy of welding. But i plan on making some stools. Keep up the great posts.
Glad to hear your keeping tabs and that i'm bringing you to the dark side lol....Black will show dirt, dust etc, but thats one of the reasons i like having the Graphite in the middle as it "hides" it better.
Its not for everyone for sure and for your application likely not. It would take some effort appropriately prepping the area where you would be welding.The stools were a fun little cheap project that my wife loves to remind me was her idea of personalizing it with the decals.

Just finished reading this thread to the current day. Amazing job again with double the space. Love your choices for paint and tying together with cabinets and flooring. Really nice and clean environment for what you enjoy. Our garages are all different but that's what is fun that they can fit our personal likes and needs. And, we can all learn useful tips from any style garage. Looking forward to your future improvements.
I think i almost did an 8 hour shift in the garage and driveway today. Had a couple things on the docket. One was change the daily to winter mode, clean up the summers and put them away for the season. Second was to tuck my GLI away for the winter. Snow is in the forecast, and with a sunny and dry day off this worked out to be the perfect day. I'm not going to lie, i've been excited about doing this tire swap. This was the first time i've been able to do one inside my garage. Truly a pleasure. Music pumping, taking my time, and enjoying my creation. Awesome experience for sure.

In your single, kudos to you sir. I think i did all 4 wheels in my single only once. Beyond that it was ever just one wheel for various reasons. Never enough room on the sides. I would have had to pull the vehicle out and reposition every time.

Lets just say it wasn't a cake walk. My old garage was only 10 feet wide so not exactly roomy. I did however maximize the room by not putting anything along the sides that wasn't over shoulder height. I usually just did it on the driveway for convenience. When i had to do it inside it meant parking as close to one wall as possible to do two wheels then flipping the car around to do the other two.
One year i did it mid winter since i had sold the wheels that the car was stored on. I have a few pics from that session.

Wow, well done! 10' is about all I have too, I think I was getting 9 +/- full 13" tiles down for the width. I can't see myself trying that, but maybe my car is wider... OK, only about 2" wider after looking it up. But in the middle of winter, I guess you do what you gotta do! Since today is likely to be our last warm one I'm going to do the driveway swap tonight. No room in the garage while it's still under construction.
Added another Husky TrackWall unit tonight. I picked it up about a month ago but i've been super hesitant to find a home for it. Mentally i have a few other things that will be taking up wall space so i wanted to find THAT perfect spot. I'm thinking this spot works really well, and wifey approves The bike rack attachment was so bulky it was ruining my idea to have the next rack right up against it. Then it came to me, one on each rack works perfectly!
