I love alcantara but thats almost too much alcantara.

I can see that from that pic i posted but from the view point of sitting in the seat i don't think its too much. Even with the top up.

Those McLarens are just superb! One for more lottery win garage along with a McLaren F1.

To be honest they were never really on my radar beyond the original. That perspective has been changed completely. The ride is amazing (especially at 220km/h). The settings make it really fun with how much you can actually adapt the ride to your application or feeling that day. The track setting allows some awesome exhaust burps at shifts. One button made us both laugh, 'winter'. Something that would never be used, unless maybe with an early or late season ride with rain present, but again, likely never used.

An experience i never would have imagined.

I've got a Gardena hose reel from my last garage that still works great in this space. I can easily tuck it away when not in use. I'm looking to add hot water to the garage at some point as well. Just figuring out the logistics right now.

Saturday afternoon my Grandpa calls me to ask for some detailing tips and what products to buy as he wants to restore some luster to his 2000 Cadillac Catera. I can still remember the day he proudly bought it. Although he likes to keep it in good shape its showing its age and with its daily summer use to and front a garden space he rents to haul fruits and veggies it needed some love. I told him to come by and we could do it together. Ended up being a day i'll remember for a long time. Spent several hours on the car and had some leftover chinese food and beers in the garage when we were done. Valued Family time for sure.

Don't mind the Saab wheels, hes funny. At least they are clean now. After a few rounds of Griots wheel cleaner, Chemical Guys wash, IronX, and repeat. They were caked with road and brake grit.

Famous line after the job was done......"I wish i had a suit to wear on the drive home, and a cigar". He was over the moon with the results which was a nice bonus.










Also tackled several little landscaping projects around the yard this Friday and Saturday. Very happy with the results.

Funny you should mention..... I was telling him about the kits available, nearly blew his mind lol.... He had thought he needed to buy new headlights. Needless to say after leaving my place he was headed straight to the store to pick one up after i showed him a few pics of the box and the possible results.

I used this stuff since it was available at Home Depot which is extremely close to me. 18.6 KG bag. I overbought and was able to return a few bags. Same story for the crushed tile bags.



The TDI had a workout this weekend, must have been to Home Depot 6 times over 3 days lol...





I have a rubber liner in the trunk that is extremely handy. After several trips with stones, mulch and crushed tile i just pulled it out, hosed it down and the trunk was clean again.

Its funny, i just looked up what the Catera's go for now, literally peanuts..... But he loves it! Likely the last car he will need, hope it holds up for him.

If I remember I think you had to do some fancy thinking or drop the motor to change the spark plugs.

Gardena products really do their job well. My father always used them in his back yard, a believer in the company based on the quality and ease of use. I'm thinking about getting this other more substantial piece for my lawn now, which is luckily on sale

Nothing more frustrating than dealing with winding a hose that is fighting you the whole time. Kinking when in use is another issue that drives me up the wall. Never had either of those issues with this garage reel set-up. I have a standard hose behind the house for the lawn and its an aggravating experience every time i need to use it.

Interesting you had that experience, from what i've read and heard thats unique. Which piece did you have? For the price of a quality reel and then add on a quality 100 foot hose and accessories its verrrrrry well price IMHO.

This weekend wifey wanted to do a trip to IKEA so in my head that meant another attempt at grabbing a towel rack for the garage; last two times they were sold out. Can't thank Rick enough for his tip on this piece. Extremely useful item which doesn't cost a lot, easy to collapse out of the way and it doesn't look bad either Whenever i'm doing a full cleaning i end up with a ton of towels that need to be dried out prior to going into the dirty bin. These pieces really help to contain the mess and avoiding towels laying everywhere in the garage.

I was eyeing that Gardena Auto hose reel the other day, wondering if its worth the price. I have some black contractor hose in 50 and 100' lengths and a 50' expanding hose for the wife to use which is a POS.
I would mount it outside so I wonder how well the plastic case would stand up to UV.

I bought one of their hoses and a spray nozzle. All of the quick connects leaked, and the nozzle cracked over the winter even after ensuring it was disconnected, drained of water and left standing on its end (in case of any remaining water that could freeze).
Left me unimpressed but I'd be sure to bring the retractable reel into the house over the winter so my concerns may not be applicable.

I was looking at that reel too. Looks mice and compact, I couldn't remember if 1/2 inch hose is standard or a little smaller, which I would like. It is expensive, but if it really is good quality I could stomach the cost. So... Dubber, let us know how it is!
