Yeah it looks much smaller, then I thought to myself, wait a minute I have a 6 gal Bostitch compressor I use for finish nailing, but the Bostitch seemed bigger when I intially looked at your pic. My 6 gal didn't cycle until after I drove in around 20-25 or so nails while I put in those boxes.

Hahaha. Another example of me needing to grab something based on size parameters. I had to take the little rubber feet off so it could fit perfectly in that spot.

I think mine was on par to your numbers above although i was using a mixture of two guns, one with finishing nails and then the floor stapler. Made my dog jump whenever it would randomly cycle, especially when i wasn't in the room making any other noise lol..

Haha, you get every square inch out of that garage for sure.

I often forget to turn my compressor off when I'm done with it and it'll turn on without notice and scares the hell out of me, sucker is LOUD.

As i had mentioned my fam came over to check out the garage and visit for a bit last sunday, and i guess my bro took a panoramic shot of one of the walls with his iphone. This shot makes me laugh, you can tell my sister is as enthused as he is lol....

I also chose a Bostitch small compressor for stapling and nailing. It was a tad pricey, but so far it has done anything I want. It is light weight and easy to tote around anywhere you need it. After buying it though, I had a sinking spell and bought the $300.00 Dewalt Battery powered nailer, so the compressor for nailing may just be a wash out! You can see the compressor in the attached pic.

Hmm..that's different from the compressor I have, the one I have is NOT lightweight.

Bostitch makes very good nailers and I've had very little trouble with the compressor. I had to change out the red regulator valve which was plastic and cracked, easy fix, cheap part. Hopefully it lasts a while without cracking again.

Hi Kosan, welcome, as i see its your first post.

That whole area is part of the Husky Surelock system. The white racks, misc hangers/hooks, shelf arms and shelves. I really like their system and i've added there stuff into our mud room/laundry room. Its great to be able to move things around as i've already played with the layout a couple of times. I think it will stay like this for a bit though lol..

Thank you. What about the Stainless Steel bins? Are they Husky too?

Actually those were "Free-cycled" haha, grabbed them from my mom during a purging exercise :) I had them sitting around for a couple months waiting for the perfect spot, then it came to me haha.

Well my luck has run out weather wise that is..... I'm in the midst of flooring our main floor and the forecast had been perfect as i was able to do all my cuts on the back deck outside. Its been an early preview of Summer with 30+ days which have been amazing, but rain came for the first time in awhile last night. Had to move my set-up to the garage and after only one night its like a atom bomb of saw dust. Can't wait to get this finished up and cleaned up hahaha.

Sawdust + free flow racedeck tiles like you have = PITA to clean up which is why I've decided on just painting my floor since I do a lot of cutting in the garage with my saw. I can just sweep up the sawdust, you have to lift them and vacuum I assume. ***** though that you had to move inside.

Mine has a dustbag that I empty often but there is still some sawdust that get's flung into the air around/near the blade, I would think there would still be some residual sawdust thrown into the air even with a shop vac attached. Interesting though, may look into this more.

Yea my new little vac is up to the task for sure. Great suction power from that little thing.

Yes, sawdust is not FreeFlow's best friend. But, a powerful shop vac does go a long way.

Yes sir!

try one of these!

most mitre saws have a dust bag on the back. pop it off and connect a shop vac hose to it. plug it all into this baby.

Thats a pretty cool idea.

Decided to attack 2 weeks worth of saw dust from my flooring project, even though I'm not yet finished i couldn't stand the mess any longer haha. Pleasantly surprised though with the turnout as this was definitely a test for my flooring. For those who were wondering about saw dust on a RD free flow floor, just make sure you have a good shop vac and your golden.

Once i'm actually done i'll definitely be making use of the blow gun and my compressor as there is sh@t all over the walls/cabinets/lights. A real mess lol...

EDIT: I should mention that i didn't pull up any tiles, anything that fell through the tiles was able to be pulled up with the vac without having to lift the flooring.

Thought i would post up a crappy pic of the crappy condition of my space at the moment lol...
Hoping to rectify this tonight, well at least partially.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

You get a real sense of the level of saw dust that has accumulated if you look at my little craftsman cabinet on the left. Its a mess!!

Weather cleared up after raining all day on and off so i took advantage of washing the GLI, cleaning out the garage and doing a little clean up. Gotta say this floor makes me smile :)

Back to normal!

Is that wire loom at the threshold of your doorway?

Yes it is, good eye. I thought i hid it well lol... It houses the two cords from the TV (cable and power). The threshold and raised level of the racedeck help to stuff it down into that gap.
