I am in the process of putting ac and heat in my 60x40x12 shop. I have pretty much decided on a goodman 5 ton package unit heat pump. It will be about 20ft down the 60ft wall so I was thinking about using one return right through the wall to the unit and run a duct up the wall and and across with a vent every 10 feet or so. I have ceiling fans to help circulate the air.
Would this be sufficient? If so what size duct should I use? It's about 2000 cfm blower. I dont have the option to put it on a 40ft wall or else I would run a trunk line down the middle with vents on each side.
